Cristian.
In the center of Cristian lies the fortified Saxon church. It was originally built in Romanesque style but having Gothic elements. All those factors push towards old church dated the first half of the 14th century. This place has a Saxon history that deserves to be discover.
Râşnov
A medieval town with a wonderful atmosphere also host lots of tourists.
Well known for the fortress on the hill near town entrance, it has many other interesting attractions for the whole family. Of course, the first thing you should do when you get here is to explore the streets of Râșnov Fortress. It was built in the 14th century.
Today, the fortress is one of the largest and well-preserved fortifications from Romania with a series of towers, two chapels and other places of interest. If you have more time, a few minutes from the Citadel lays the only theme park with dinosaurs in Romania, Dino Park.
Braşov
Brasov is one of the most beautiful and popular cities in Romania, where you can spend at least a weekend enjoying the medieval atmosphere. In Brasov you should visit the Square and the Black Church, the city’s symbol. Do not miss a «walk» on the Rope Street, 3rd narrowest street in Europe, or visit the Black Tower, Ecaterina Gate or Schei Gate.
Bran
One of the most famous castles in Romania, Bran is a destination not to be missed
in Romania. Bran Castle was built in 1382 and served as border of Transylvania. The name of the castle is related to Vlad Ţepeş. The Saxon community described him as a tyrant ruler, who then would inspire the most famous vampire legend, Dracula.
Today, Bran Castle, hosts a number of items from the personal collection of the Habsburg family, owner of the castle, including the crown, scepter and a silver dagger that had belonged to King Ferdinand.
Far away from the meaning of «civilization», in the heart of an authentic wildness, there is a place where beautiful specimens of bears are living quietly.
It stretches over an area of 70 acres of forest, located on the territory of Zărnești. Currently the number of bears is 79. Most bears were rescued from a cruel and abusive life of captivity. Each reservation has a story.
Any visit here at the sanctuary of bears from Zărnești, can be a real adventure.
To see the wildlife, you can take a ride with The little Train, which makes several stops along the route, where you can see the bears from a few meters, and you can take pictures.
